Description
Experience Traditional Katana Training in Kyoto
Step into the world of Asayama Ichiden-Ryu Hyoho, a 400-year-old tradition of Japanese swordsmanship.
This Kyoto dojo welcomes both complete beginners and experienced martial artists from around the world.
Training is conducted in both English and Japanese under the guidance of Shogo Yamaguchi,
3rd-dan and Kyoto Branch Leader under Seki Sensei, the 22nd headmaster.
⚔️ What We Practice
We train in:
-
Kenjutsu — Japanese swordsmanship using wooden katana
-
Iaijutsu — Drawing and sheathing the katana smoothly and precisely
-
Reiho — Dojo etiquette and the philosophy of budo
Our goal is to move the katana as naturally as if it were part of our own body.
